Spring in Nakameguro: Embracing Cherry Blossoms and Tranquility
Nakameguro, where our studio THE GOOD CAT SCRATCH is located, is widely known as a renowned cherry blossom destination. Every spring, many visitors gather along the Meguro River to admire the blooming cherry blossoms. The riverbank lined with cherry trees is truly a beloved sight, enveloping the neighborhood in a gentle and festive ambiance during this season.
A short walk from the Meguro River lies Yutenji Temple—about an eight-minute walk from our studio. While the station name is familiar to many, this year marked my very first time stepping into the tranquil temple grounds.
The moment I passed through the gate, I was embraced by a quiet, beautiful atmosphere that felt as though I had stepped into another realm, bringing a serene calm to my heart. It is a delightful place where one can fully feel the gentle spring breeze.
Although this spring retained a remaining chill, the season has finally begun to bring a soft, comforting warmth.
A Taste of Spring: Accompanied by Sakura-Scented Rakugan
Moving forward, we hope to share subtle flavors of each season with you. This spring, we have prepared Sakura Rakugan (traditional dried sugar confection).
Spring naturally brings cherry blossoms to mind. As it softly melts in your mouth, the delicate sweetness of fine Wasanbon sugar offers a subtle hint of spring.
