OUR STUDIO
Nakameguro, Tokyo
An Inspirational Space That Embodies the Ethos of Comfort and Creativity
We are located in Nakameguro, a vibrant and trendy Tokyo neighborhood known for its blend of artistic, cultural, and modern elements. The Meguro River, famous for its cherry blossoms in spring, enhances the area’s scenic beauty and artistic ambiance, drawing many visitors.
Nakameguro’s art galleries and creative spaces support artists. Stylish cafés like Onibus Coffee and CHIYABA attract a creative crowd. Dining options range from traditional Japanese to international cuisine at spots like Junkadelic and Nakameguro Tsutaya Books’ café. Fashion boutiques and independent stores highlight local craftsmanship.
Our shop embodies the essence of Japanese tradition in a modern context, aiming to evoke a sense of Zen tranquility while showcasing sophisticated designs that stimulate creativity without becoming tiresome. The logo features the traditional Japanese family crest motif of a pine tree(松紋), symbolizing longevity and strength. Additionally, it incorporates a cat’s claw motif, symbolizing the meaning behind our shop name “CAT SCRATCH”. The origin of “THE GOOD CAT SCRATCH” stems from a customer’s question: “What does it feel like when getting a tattoo?”
